Growing up in Winnipeg, Manitoba, I moved to British Columbia in 2013 after graduating from University.
It was here that I picked up a camera after years away from it and fell in love with photography again. I mostly focused on landscape photography but in 2016 a friend asked me to photograph their wedding. It was completely new to me but I immediately fell in love with it. Capturing couples and how they naturally interact with each other on their special day is so much fun!
When I’m not photographing weddings, I am working on commercial projects, travelling, and providing my services to local businesses in and around the Comox Valley.
The Small Details
I’ll be there throughout the whole event and will make sure no one gets left out of any picture. I promise not to get in the way of any moment and I won’t step on anyone’s toes (literally). Your guests will thank you for hiring me because they can enjoy themselves without having to worry about being in every photo.
My Methods
My approach to photography is candid, bright, and not overly edited. I hate being posed in that chin down, arm up, look to the sky kind of way so I'll never do the same with you. I want to capture exactly the way you and your partner naturally interact.
With that being said, I understand that being in front of the camera is uncomfortable. I will offer simple directions and poses to make you look your best while looking as natural as possible.
Since 2017, I've been photographing weddings, elopements, and engagements all over Vancouver Island. I love spending time with extraordinary couples, capturing how they naturally interact with each other.
